Testing Lab: WTTI operates
an in-house mechanical testing
lab to offer clients procedure
qualifications and welder/brazer
performance qualification
in accordance with a broad
range of codes, standards
and specifications (AWS,
ASME, API, NFPA, Mil-Standards,
etc.).
Certification to Code
Requirement: Certification
to code requirements can
be an involved process.
Let our staff of knowledgeable
Certified Weld Inspectors
(CWIs) advise you in code
requirements for test sample
preparation and witness
the welding of test specimens
so that you may avoid costly
delays and re-tests.
WTTI’s staff of CWIs
are qualified to read specifications,
drawings, and/or evaluate
welding projects to determine
which codes pertain. We
can send a CWI to your facility
or if necessary to the job
site, or you may send your
welders to us.
It doesn’t matter
whether your company is
large or small, WTTI can
help you establish and administer
a testing program for welder/procedure
qualification which will
maximize your efficiency
and minimize the cost of
producing your welded product.
If necessary, WTTI can
even provide your welders
with on-site training sessions
in techniques that meet
code standards in the shortest
time possible.
Welder Qualification
Cards: WTTI issues welder
qualification cards* to
those welders who passed
their performance test to
each code.
Special arrangements may
even be made with WTTI in
order to test a group of
your employees after hours
or on a Saturday.
